April Lavalle was born and raised on Long Island, NY. She fell in love with the theatre in Pre-School, after her star making turn as "The Virgin Mary" in her school's Christmas Pageant. After that rousing 20 minute stint, it was safe to say that April was hooked, and has been performing and training ever since. She has performed in 9 different countries, spanning from China to France. Her travels took her everywhere from on stage at Euro Disney to studying Commedia Dell'Arte in Amsterdam. While not traveling the world, April spends her time in rehearsal or in Manhattan professionally auditioning. She has appeared on camera with College Humor and Teen Nick (with Nick Cannon), and has performed in over 70 live productions. April had the opportunity to work under Tony winner Michele Pawk, John Carrafa, Andrew Glant-Linden, and Brian Patrick Murphy (to name a few!). In May of 2013, April earned her BA in Theatre Performance and Speech from Wagner College, where she completed her last semester with a 4.0 and was awarded a certificate of merit for her efforts in the Theatre Dept. April has been called Wagner's own "Comic Soubrette" and plans on continuing her comedy/improv training in NYC. While not on stage or trying to get on a stage, April is an avid Neopets player, crafter, sketch comedy writer and die hard Lord of the Rings fan. She also has a pug dog named Isabelle.
